I thought that the Davao Crocodile Park is a sanctuary only for crocodiles and so I thought that we will only stay there for a few minutes just to show our children a real live crocodile because my younger daughter haven’t seen a live one. When we got in the park after our visit in Zorb Park and Walk ‘N Water ball it was 2:00 in the afternoon and we didn’t get the chance to watch an ethnic show a little earlier which has just ended when we arrived.

A walk in the pond
Walk 'N Water ball park, Davao City
Just like zorb ball where the rider will get inside a big round plastic ball, but the difference is that the rider will manipulate the movement of the ball to roll in the water. This has been our itinerary after the Zorb park before we went to Crocodile Park, which are all located inside the complex of the Riverfront Corporate City, Diversion Road, Maa, Davao City.

Rolling upside down a hill in Davao
Zorb Park, Davao City
Another adventure in Davao for sports enthusiasts and or those seeking for a different kind of thrill, there’s zorbing in Zorb Park located at Diversion Road, Maa, Davao City. As Wikipedia defined it, the word zorbing means ‘globe riding, sphereing, orbing, it is a recreation of rolling downhill in an orb, generally made of transparent plastic.’

Zipline in Zip City Davao

Davao outdoor adventure

Zip City in Matina, Davao offers zip lining with a distance of 320 meters located at the Hilltop, Barangay Langub. This is one of the country’s longest zip lines and pioneers in this adventure offering. While gliding from above, a scenic view of Mount Apo and Davao Gulf could be enjoyed so any fear could be set aside for awhile from the relaxing view on top. They have complete and safe equipment like a harness, head gears, cable and trolleys that have passed the standard requirement of the International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation. And the crews assisting the riders are professional and helpful to their customers.

Overlooking restaurant experience in Davao
Taklobo Restaurant
Jack's Ridges resort and restaurant
We could have not known this place if our taxi driver didn’t inform us about this restaurant overlooking the city of Davao, which originally not on our itinerary. Our plan was to eat at any restaurant near our hotel, then explore the plaza. We were convinced by him that it is one of Davao’s tourists destination because of its view and the food are good, so it triggered our curiosity and we proceeded there.

Travel would not be complete without buying souvenir items and food or delicacy of a certain place to bring back home, as something to give to relatives and friends, which we call in Filipino “pasalubong” that’s why in any place in the Philippines, where tourists come and go, souvenir shops, food and fruit stands are prevalent along major roads, markets or just outside tourist places selling different kinds of stuff.

Habitat for Philippine endangered species
Philippine Eagle Center
Malagos, Baguio District, Davao City
After our fun filled activities in Eden Nature Park we headed to the Philippine Eagle Center, which is open only from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and we only have a few minutes time left. From Eden it took us about 15 minutes with our hired taxi to get to the place.

Family bonding at Eden Nature Park
Our first itinerary in our plan is to visit Nature Eden Park which is located in Mount Talomo, Toril, Davao. We took a taxi to drive us for our first day itinerary so we can maximize our time in each of our destination. On our way the driver keeps on describing what can we see there and the activities we can do inside, which made us so excited to reach the place immediately and my 2 kids are enjoying the conversation with the driver, asking him if there is like this or like that, and the man is likewise happy answering their queries. As we

I was conceiving for 5 months when I travelled Davao in January of 2011, and my condition did not hinder my eagerness to travel and explore new places, as it was our first time to visit the capital of Durian in the Philippines. It was a planned trip with my family and my condition during that time was in good shape, my baby inside might be excited too!
