Zip City in Matina, Davao offers zip lining with a distance of 320 meters located at the Hilltop, Barangay Langub. This is one of the country’s longest zip lines and pioneers in this adventure offering. While gliding from above, a scenic view of Mount Apo and Davao Gulf could be enjoyed so any fear could be set aside for awhile from the relaxing view on top. They have complete and safe equipment like a harness, head gears, cable and trolleys that have passed the standard requirement of the International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation. And the crews assisting the riders are professional and helpful to their customers.

Their main activity is elevated from the main road, which have to be ascended for more than 10 steps and on top the crews are waiting to assist their riders to put on the harness and head gear. After putting on the gadgets another ladder will have to be ascended, this time much steeper, using a spiral metal staircase which two landings and the steps are made of perforated metal, that when I climbed and reached the first landing I feel nauseated and dizzy looking down at those trees.

My hubby and daughter proceeded together on top while I stayed in the middle of the staircase to get photos of them because I was pregnant that time that’s why I was prohibited to take the zip line. And then I heard the zooming sound above me and suddenly I saw my daughter followed by my hubby traversing the cable swiftly down to the other end in less than 2 minutes. There was a van waiting for them on the other side that took them back to the camp site.
Price – PHP 300.00 for one way zip line rides inclusive of PHP 100.00 food consumable at either Dencios Restaurant at Zip City canteen, Dencios Restaurant at Hilltop or Riverwalk Grill At Crocodile Park.
Open – Wednesday to Monday
Time – 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. cut-off time 4:30 p.m.
During the lean season they offer it at a discounted price of PHP 350.00 per package which includes Zorb ball ride at Zorv park, Water ball ride and entrance to Crocodile Park.
