This is where our first stop over where we spent our night when we had our scheduled business trip to a nearby town. RB Lodge was our choice, then because it suited our budget, near bus and FX terminals going to Caticlan, Iloilo, Roxas and it is near the Kalibo airport, a 15-minute tricycle traveler had brought us there instantly.
We first arrived in their old building with computer shop on the ground floor, the attendant leads us to their new building at Pastrana Street, just a few steps away and can be seen from there because it is the only building that glimmers in a residential neighborhood in the middle of Pastrana Street.
The attendant led us to our room on the second floor. The room is big enough for us two occupants, with two single beds inside, air conditioning, wireless access to internet, cable TV, bathroom with hot and cold shower. The room is clean, the bed sheets and pillows are neatly arranged on the bed, everything is perfectly arranged and functioning inside which made me feel at ease when I scrutinized everything inside, I am kind of a meticulous when it comes to bathroom and bed to sleep on.
The male attendant has not just left us when we were able to put down our heavy baggages, since it was almost 8:00 p.m. He offered us if he could buy us dinner and he even suggested the meals that are still available at that hour, so we just let him buy us food and in about 30 minutes he arrived with Andok’s Liston, rice and drinks, and he gave us the receipts and change. Right up to the minute of our checkout the attendant was so helpful, he arranged for our transportation to Caticlan so we skipped any effort in going to the terminal which is two blocks away, we just waited at the lobby for the van to arrive.
Our stay At RB Lodge was really worth it, with amenities like that of a hotel and a good service from their dutiful attendant is worthy to be recommended to others who are seeking for a budget-friendly accommodation for a sleepover or extended stay to experience fiesta like the Ati-Atihan festival during January of each year.
