It was a lazy sunny Sunday afternoon, there's nothing much to do at home and we wanted to relax and unwind within the Metro where we can have a walk so we have decided to go to Bonifacio High Street in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.
Bonifacio High Street is not a big place which can easily be strolled in an hour or two. There is a park situated in the middle and alongside its stretch is a walkway in front of the low rise buildings with high end retail stores for clothes and apparels like Pedro, Charles and Keith, Speedo, Kenneth Cole, Aldo and there are also restaurants like T.G.I. Fridays, Krispy Kreme, Brother's Burger. These are some of the establishments in there which I can recall.
It was a wee hour of the day and the sun is brightly shining and the hot temperature is high, walking in the park is unpleasant, the trellis above the walkway is a big help for people strolling around and or having a window shopping, from time to time a sprinkler will caught you off guard and will surprise you when it blow a mist on your head or on your face. This might be an added service for the people walking around for the prevention of heat stroke.
After about an hour of going in and out of the air conditioned stores to see and try some shoes or apparels that appealed us, and at this time were already hungry and thirsty after finishing the whole stretch of stores on one side of the park we decided to refresh ourselves with cold water and eat at Brother's Burger, my favorite burger!
After eating, we continued to stroll again and window shop and take pictures around, there's this giant stone with metal support which looks like a giant spider which amazed me. There's a fountain below it which is not working at that time, and most of the fountains in the park are not yet working that's why I lost the opportunity to see and watch the fountain with lighting effects, well anyway I can go back again one fine weekend to see those.
Although the temperature hasn't cool down yet at around 4 o'clock in the afternoon, I haven't ran out of energy to stroll around because there are trellis on the path walk around the park and in between if you want to go to the other side.
Going to Bonifacio High Street is not that difficult even it is located in the middle of Bonifacio Global City, if you have your own vehicle there are ample open parking slots around where you can park your car for Php 50.00 per 4 hours. If you are commuting you can ride a Hop-on Hop-off bus to take you there which will cost you Php 25.00 for one day tour within Bonifacio Global City, but this is running only every Saturday and Sunday from 4:00 pm to 10:00 p.m.
