This is great news to all my fellow Filipinos because President Benigno Aquino III and Myanmar President Thein Sein just signed up a memorandum of agreement about visa free entry to Philippines and vice versa.  Filipinos are allowed to enter and stay in Myanmar up to a maximum of 14 days without having the hassle to apply for a visa. When I heard this news I immediately got an interest to include Myanmar in my future travel plans outside the Philippines, as I am eyeing those countries that are easy for a traveller to visit as long as there is a valid passport to present to the country’s immigration.

Attractions in Myanmar

Myanmar is located in Southeast Asia and bordered with different countries like China, Bangladesh, Laos and Thailand.  The country also faces Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea which is why Myanmar is also blessed with white sandy beaches and crystal clear water in Ngapali and Ngwe Saung.  Inle Lake is one of their tourist attractions which feature floating villages by visiting through boating on its large shallow lake.  Gigantic and majestic Pagodas and Buddhist Temples with architectural bearings of their sacred culture and religions are prominent in Yangon and Bagan. Those are some of the many attractions that Myanmar has to boast of.

Travelling from Philippines to Myanmar

There is no direct flight from Philippines to Myanmar the options could be to book a flight to either of Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or Bangkok trip and from there book another flight to Yangon, Myanmar.
